Off to the funny farm...

Dylan here... I took mom and dad to the farm over the weekend. I told 'em there were animals that made funny noises like in my books!
Dad helped me feed the animals because I didn't know what to do...

oh boy! what fun! I can just pull grass from the dirt [which I love to do anyway!] and hold it out to the goats!

It kind of tickles when the goat sticks out his big tongue and nibbles on me with his teeth! Although, I bet I could bite him back with my two teeth!...hm...
I'm gonna bring mom and dad back to the farm again! That was a good time!

Growing up so fast!

So...It all started with spaghetti dinner.

[I don't know why mom and dad think they need an excuse for my hair!].

Spaghetti was everywhere!

We had to soak Mr. D's head and wash all the spaghetti out...

...then as usual, mom brushed Dylan's hair upwards to make it dry really fast.

Well...this is the result!

A tiny mohawk!

And a crazy Dylan racing around the house with his shirt around his neck!

Here is a very happy boy who has learned how to open cell phones and make phone calls. Generally early in the morning before normal people wake up.

Dylan likes to give wake up calls...right Anna?

It's been hard to get photo's of Dylan standing up.

Dylan stands on his own all the time now, but as soon as the camera comes out...he is off and charging at the camera!
Dylan - smashing remote controls together! Such a boy!

Off and Running....almost!

Well, I realize that we haven't posted recently. The only excuse I have is that Dylan is highly mobile now, thus my free time is spent cleaning up after the tornado strikes. His crawl is faster than my run! Dylan has mastered his crawl very well. Sometimes when his knees hurt, he even crawls on his hands and feet! No knees! He is everywhere and into everything. Jeff and I have had to take a few trips to the basement to store things that Dylan thought were really fun...in other words, things that he shouldn't be into. Now, Dylan has free reign of the house. Of course, every few days, he discovers something that we didn't think about. The other day he discovered my recipe box. I would like to believe he was picking out meals for the week for me, but he only came up with deserts!
Mom was sick for a few days and ran out of tissues....I don't think I need to elaborate that Dylan thought the roll of toilet paper was hilarious!

Dylan stands on his own for short periods of time. This started by accident. He was clapping and realized that he was standing without holding on to anything! Now he stands more and even took a few lunging steps towards Dad the other day! Jeff and I are trying to prepare ourselves for an even faster little Dylan than now!

Dylan has banned baby food jars. This means that if I give him pre-made baby food, I have to put it into another dish before he sees it! The only exception to this bann is on vanilla custard and blueberry buckle. For some reason, he doesn't mind the jar then! Dylan has been feeding himself for a while now. He is getting better, but spagetti is just a tough one!

Fourth of July celebrations - great-grandparents were able to see Dylan and party up the holiday together. Dylan entertained us all. He likes to play toss with the Rosinski grandparents' dog Zeke! Zeke is very understanding of Dylan, seeing that Dylan can only toss the ball about a foot or two in front of him!

Dylan and Mom went to Vermont to visit the grandparents last weekend. We partied hard all weekend and had such a great time! Once we got back to Rhode Island, we both slept a majority of the next day! Grandpa and MorMor, take it easy on us next time! Whew!
