Being ONE and A HALF is no joke!

The adventures only get better with age! Mr. D has been keeping very busy lately. Now that he is one and a half!!!...he thinks he is three years old! Here is a sampling of what Dylan has been up to!

Mr. D here....One of my favorite things to do is to sample Mom's baking...of course she thinks I am a good judge, but I always tell her that her food is good, even if I don't like it! ...however, these cupcakes were very good!I love to watch cars, trucks, and buses drive by, and I always cheer for them. Well, they are all in a race, aren't they? "...Go! Go! Go!"

I LOVE to carry ALL of my monster trucks around the house. It is getting pretty hard to do, now that I have six of them. [...got mad one day, so mom showed me how to carry them all around in a bucket....hmm...it is a lot easier!]
Since my Grandpa Treat made me a train table, I love to play trains (and cars fit too!) on my new table. Although, what I really like to do, when there are no trains or tracks on the table....is get up on it and DANCE!!! ...till mom and dad find me up there...haha...

One of my new favorite things to do, since it is getting nicer outside is to go to the park! I LOVE the park!

...been watching Tiger lately, trying to improve my swing...

Mom, Dad, Grandpa, and Grandma took me to opening day game at the Paw Sox! They let me in the gate for free AND gave me a ball too! Wow! I held on to it so tightly the whole game. Grandpa and Grandma bought me a new baseball hat too! Looks good on me, right? The game began with bagpipes, canons and helicopters, it was so much fun!

All these adventures make me really tired though. I take big naps these days. Sometimes three hours long!

17 Months Already?!!!

Dylan is racing all over the place, fulfilling big plans he makes. Of course, Jeff and I never know what those plans are, but Dylan sure knows and keeps busy all the time! He talks a lot, though half of it needs interpretation, he is communicating very well these days! He really enjoys talking. Here are a few recent photos:
Somewhere along the way, Dylan has picked up a crooked smile that he likes to make when he says "cheese"!
Dylan is passing nasal bulb torture on to his cat. Dylan never liked the nasal bulb and it is evident by the aggressive nature in which he attacks his cats nose!!!
We finally had a warm day and Dylan got really involved at the beach! Throwing sand and screaming with joy!
And then...he wanted to be one with the sand....so he played... and made sand angels... and rolled... and got messy! And it was great!

McQueen and Valentine's Day Fun!

Dylan's latest craze has been the Lightning McQueen race car from the movie "Cars" (which I am not proud to say I can recite the entire two hour movie!). We recently found a new shirt for Dylan on sale...it is a big too large but he enjoys wearing it.

When Dylan pushes a little button on the shirt, there is a car racing sound! Too much fun! He loves it!
We also found him a new hat, which he wears when he feels like it....not when we want him to!

And...of course, pj's...

We had a very fun Valentine's Day with Dylan this year (a new poster for his door, just like big kids' room's!)...we had an early breakfast at the Blue Plate Diner (Dylan had blueberry pancakes!)...then...went to the Norman Bird Sanctuary for a hike to "hanging rock" overlooking the beach. Dylan did more hiking than he has ever done before! He made it almost halfway to the rock before we put him in the backpack! Dad appreciated that.

We enjoyed a dinner picnic and movie on the living room floor with chicken nuggets and french fries! Dylan has only had fries a couple times before and thought it was such fun to dunk them into catsup!

...a little dinner video.... ...Topped the day off with a fudge pop on the floor with Dad.
What a fun day we had!
