McQueen and Valentine's Day Fun!

Dylan's latest craze has been the Lightning McQueen race car from the movie "Cars" (which I am not proud to say I can recite the entire two hour movie!). We recently found a new shirt for Dylan on sale...it is a big too large but he enjoys wearing it.

When Dylan pushes a little button on the shirt, there is a car racing sound! Too much fun! He loves it!
We also found him a new hat, which he wears when he feels like it....not when we want him to!

And...of course, pj's...

We had a very fun Valentine's Day with Dylan this year (a new poster for his door, just like big kids' room's!)...we had an early breakfast at the Blue Plate Diner (Dylan had blueberry pancakes!)...then...went to the Norman Bird Sanctuary for a hike to "hanging rock" overlooking the beach. Dylan did more hiking than he has ever done before! He made it almost halfway to the rock before we put him in the backpack! Dad appreciated that.

We enjoyed a dinner picnic and movie on the living room floor with chicken nuggets and french fries! Dylan has only had fries a couple times before and thought it was such fun to dunk them into catsup!

It's Christmas Time...!

Mr. D here...well. Apparently it is Christmas and Mom and Dad decided to decorate sugar cookies. They put me in my chair, set a cookie on my tray, and gave me red and green frosting. I wasn't really sure what to do... After a quick sample with my tongue, I realized colored sugar was amazing! As long as I acted like I was decorating, they let me eat the bright colored sugar!

I helped mom and dad do some re-decorating with some crystal beads. My soccer ball didn't quite look festive enough!

Christmas morning...Mom says, "Dylan, there are presents under the tree for you!" I went out to check the tree..."oooohhhhh" I said. Never seen this before...hm.

I had a great time playing with Mom and Dad and my new toys! Dad and I played baseball in the house!

I got some new trains. I really didn't want to put them down. So, I just carried as many as I could with me.

Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland

Snow! The adventures continue. Mr. D has decided that mittens inhibit accurate snowball throwing (at mom and dad, of course!)! Suprisingly enough, he is getting quite accurate at pegging us with snow!

Hmm...tastes ok.

Poor Dylan fell asleep on the way to the hill for sledding....he was not quite awake yet to fully comprehend the sledding experience! Apparently it wasn't too bad!

...So, as the photo below depicts....Mr. D is getting tall enough to start getting into more mischief! He can reach doorknobs and likes to shut himself into any room in the house. He justs starts talking through the door to us as he remains stuck in whatever room, not minding one bit how dark it may be! He thinks it is a pretty funny game to make us continually open doors for him!
